TikTok is the new top domain surpassing Facebook and Google, according to a report by US security firm Cloudflare.
The pandemic hit ranked seventh on Cloudflare’s list in 2020 but jumped to the top spot this year, superseding Google and Facebook in the process.
Internet traffic has grown exponentially during the pandemic and Internet applications, be they websites, IoT devices or mobile apps, continue to evolve throughout the year, depending on if they attract human beings.

The list is derived from Cloudflare’s public DNS resolver 1.1.1.1, “so it’s not related to the number of unique users or visitors it gets per month,” according to the company.
