Harassment of a girl by a boisterous youth on Shahra-e-Faisal cost him dearly as the court of East Judicial Magistrate sentenced two-month imprisonment to him.
In Karachi City Court, East Judicial Magistrate Niaz Hussain pronounced the verdict in the case of harassment.
The court sentenced Hamza to two months imprisonment for harassing a girl riding a rickshaw.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs20,000 on the accused. The court ruled that failure to pay the fine could result in an additional imprisonment for a week.
According to police, on July 17, accused Hamza along with his friends chased a girl in a rickshaw on Shahra-e-Faisal. The accused harassed the girl and continued to use foul language.
The victim recorded a video of the boisterous youth. The accused grabbed the victim's hand while making the video and used filthy language.
After the video went viral, the police had registered a case against the victim at Shahra-e-Faisal police station.
