Killer of husband sent to jail on judicial remand
The South Judicial Magistrate sent a female suspect to jail on judicial remand for killing her husband and dismembering his body in Saddar area.
The case was heard before the South Judicial Magistrate in the Karachi City Court. Upon completion of physical remand, the police produced the suspect in the court. The investigation officer submitted the report in the court which said the three daughters of the suspect were still missing.
The suspect did not give a satisfactory answer regarding her daughters. Weapons of murder have also been recovered from the suspect, which include two knives, a chisel-like rod, a wrench, a screw wrench, a broken lock and a hammer.
The IO said it remained to be determined whether the blood samples collected from the instruments of murder and from the floor of the house belong to the same person.
Public Prosecutor Abdul Rehman Thaheem said that the police had to record the statements of suspect's three daughters. Two of her daughters were present at the scene.
Blood samples from the murder equipment have been sent for DNA testing. The DNA samples of the suspect have also been obtained.
The court sought a challan from the IO on the next hearing. At the last hearing, the public prosecutor had stated that there were three eyewitnesses in the case and all three are the daughters of the deceased.
The victim has a daughter from the suspect. The couple married in 2013. According to police, two daughters of the deceased were present at the time of the incident.
The eldest daughter of the suspect reached the spot and took the two sisters in a rickshaw to an unknown location. The search for them continues.
