Momina urges fans to join her in filling up stadium at next PAKvWI match

The singer tweeted asking PCB to help resolve issues she was facing in acquiring tickets

With the West Indies cricket team touring Pakistan, it appears that cricket has finally come home. However, a largely empty stadium during the first T20I match has left former cricketer Wasim Akram rather disappointed. Following Akram’s admission of disappointment on Twitter, singer Momina Mustehsan responded with a call to action, asking her fans to join her at the stadium for the next match on December 16.

Akram tweeted out questioning why the stadium wasn’t packed despite the Pakistan team’s stellar performance in recent tournaments. He wrote, “Incredibly sad to see an empty stadium in Karachi for the #PAKvWIt20 especially after the performance of Pakistan Team in the last month. I’m pretty sure I know why but I want to hear from you! Tell me, where is the crowd and why?”

Momina tweeted out in response, “Let’s change that! Who wants to go watch #PAKvsWIt20 in Karachi on the 16th with me?” She furher asked PCB to look into the issues she was facing while trying to get a hold of tickets, writing, “However, those vaccinated outside Pakistan and not having local online banking are barred from purchasing tickets. Can we change that too?”

Following Akram’s tweets, the limited number of fans that were present at the venue complained about the huge delays they had to bear before the game started; the fans were not being allowed to the stadium and neither were being updated on the situation.

Responding to a video of a fan detailing the three-hour wait he was subject to during the match, Akram emphasized that this is a concerning matter since these teams are playing an international series.
