Earthquake tremors felt in Sindh, K-P

No loss of life, property reported

Earthquake tremors were felt in various districts of Sindh and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) on Sunday.

According to Express News, tremors were felt in Hyderabad, Thatta, Jamshoro, Kotri, Nooriabad and Sehwan in Sindh at 5:30 am.

The epicentre was reported 40-kilometre northwest of Keenjhar Lake, at a depth of 30km and a magnitude of 3.3 on the Richter scale.

At the time of the earthquake in Sindh, worshipers were busy preparing for Fajr prayers, while a majority of the citizens did not feel the tremors.

In K-P, tremors were felt in Swat, Syed Sharif, Shangla, Buner, Lower Dir, Upper Dir, Chitral, Malakand and Besham.

According to the earthquake scale, the epicentre was reported at the Hindu Kush range at a depth of 130km and a magnitude of 3.8.

Rescue sources said that the tremors were felt in upper parts of K-P in Swat, Dir and Chitral.

No loss of life or property was reported due to the low intensity of the earthquake.
