15 people killed in Punjab road accidents

176 wounded victims are under 18 years old

At least 15 people died, whereas 1,050 were injured in 1,010 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) in all 37 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Out of 1,010, 606 people were seriously injured who were shifted to different hospitals. Whereas, 444 minor injured victims were treated at the incident site. The majority 65% were involved motorcycles. Further, the analysis showed that 421 drivers, 46 underage drivers, 158 pedestrians, and 486 passengers were among the victims of these road traffic crashes.

The statistics show that 253 RTCs were reported in Lahore which affected 250 persons placing the provincial capital at top of the list followed by 85 Faisalabad with 89 victims and at third Multan with 74 RTCs and 76 victims.

The details showed that 1065 victims were affected by road traffic crashes including 871 males and 194 females, while the age group of the victims shows that 176 were under 18 years of age, 550 were between 18 and 40 years and rest of the 339 victims were reported above 40 years of age.
