LAHORE:

Special Assistant Chief Minister (SACM) on Information and Spokesperson for the Punjab Government Hasaan Khawar has said improvement in law and governance required absolute dissociation from one's political ideology.

Khawar expressed these views while addressing a workshop organised for parliamentarians on Wednesday at a local hotel. He said the government and civil society need to work together on this sensitive matter.

“For constructive capacity building, laws and policies be developed keeping in view the mechanism of enforcement so that they can be smoothly implemented. To ensure implementation of all the commitments made and MoUs signed will truly expedite the system of governance,” he said.

Talking to media persons on the occasion, he said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has “utterly failed to cover up its crimes” through press conferences in the past three years.

“If the leadership of PML-N deems itself innocent, it should approach courts for availing legal remedies rather than attacking honourable courts and judges.
