Countrywide petrol strike on Nov 25

All Pakistan Petrol Pump Dealers Association (APPPDA) has announced a nationwide strike on November 25 (Thursday) over the government’s “failure” to increase the dealers’ margin by 6%.
In a video statement, APPPDA General Secretary Nauman Butt stated that petrol will not be supplied to the pumps countrywide from 6am on November 25, including the government-run fuel stations.
It was said that petrol will only be supplied to ambulances and Rescue 1122 vehicles on Thursday.

Butt maintained that the strike would continue until the talks with the government are successful. He recalled that on November 5, the government had assured the petroleum association of the fulfillment of their demands by November 17 but none of them was accepted.
The spokesperson said that petrol will not be supplied to cities and regions of the country including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.
