School’s residential quarters blown up
Unidentified miscreants blew up the residential quarters inside a girls’ school in Miranshah, North Waziristan tribal district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).
Police told The Express Tribune that the residential quarters had been built for teachers inside the Government Girls Middle School Muhmmad Sherkot.
“Unidentified miscreants entered the school and blew up all the quarters completely by planting IEDs (improvised explosive devices) in it. Luckily, there was no one in the building so there is no loss of life,” a police official said, adding that the buildings have been razed to the ground.
“Police reached the area and inspected the site of the attack and collected evidence from the site,” he said, adding that an FIR has been registered against unidentified attackers and police have started investigation.
Attacks at the camps of construction companies have increased in intensity along with attacks at individuals in the recent months along with extortion calls.
