In 2019, TikTok star Hareem Shah made headlines after an apparent video of her with cabinet minister Sheikh Rasheed made rounds on social media. The clip, which went viral on social media, was later deleted by Hareem, who instead sought to disown it by posting a video message on her account claiming that she had no intention to defame anyone.
Now, in another snippet that has become the talk of the town, Hareem can be seen on Tabish Hashmi's show where she makes an impromptu call to Sheikh Rasheed. The TikTok star dials the Interior Minister, who asks her to call him later. "Please speak to me now," Hareem persists. "Shut up," says a livid Sheikh Rasheed as he hangs up, resulting in the host and Hareem breaking into laughter.
The episode is set to release on November 24.
Previously, In the 2019 clip, shared on her Twitter handle, Hareem could be seen speaking to the federal minister. She can be heard saying, “Listen to me, have I ever revealed anything of yours until now? Then why don’t you talk to me anymore?” To which the minister responded, “Do whatever you want." The authenticity of the video could not be verified independently.
Hareem’s videos had triggered a debate on social media with netizens voicing conflicting opinions on what she has done. Some users defended her while describing the “risqué video call” as harassment, while others dismissed it as a stunt from a publicity seeker.
