A 15-year-old girl went to answer the doorbell at her home and just as she opened the door, an unidentified assailant fired a single bullet to her head and fled. Qamrosh Zainul Abideen collapsed and died on the doorstep of her home in Zikri Goth, Block 11, Gulistan-e-Jauhar. Victim’s father Zainal Abidin told the Shahrae Faisal police that he received a frantic call from his wife that our daughter has been killed.
“I rushed home to find my child’s corpse lying at the gate,” he said adding he had no enmity with anyone and has no idea why someone would kill his child.
A case into the murder of a 15-year-old girl in Gulistan-e-Jauhar has been registered on the complaint of victim’s father in Shahra-e-Faisal police station. No one has been nominated in the case.
Shahrae Faisal police said they are investigating the case from different angles.
Cop kills robber looting a citizen
A police officer deputed on the security of a bank in Baldia Town foiled an attempt to rob a citizen, killing a dacoit in exchange of fire.
Two accused were trying to snatch money from a citizen at gunpoint outside a bank at Ruby Mor in Madina Colony.
Meanwhile, Head Constable Muhammad Shafi, deputed on the security of the bank, took notice of the robbery bid and rushed to help the citizen on which suspects opened fire.
SHO Madina Colony Inspector Salim Rind said that one suspect died on the spot due to retaliatory firing by a policeman while the other managed to escape. Illyas, a 55-year-old citizen, was also injured in the firing.
