Sajjad Ali recently dropped the video for his latest soulful track Qarar, starring Sonya Hussyn and shot in a picturesque mountainous area. With Ali’s layered vocals and Hussyn’s tearful yearning, the track makes for a perfect treat for broken hearts on winter nights.

The video follows Hussyn’s main character, shedding tears in various locations and looking longingly into the distance while the wind blows through her perfectly blow-dried hair.

Ali, in typical fashion, sits comfortably on a bench in front of a bonfire performing the song. Elevated by Ali’s masterful vocals and the added serenity of the shooting location, the song makes for a great tune to unwind to.

Hussyn teased the release of the song recently, writing, “Very rarely does one feel this fulfilled as an artist۔ The very witty and a legend in his own right, Sajjad Ali and I bringing this beautiful piece of art.”

“It was indeed a ball shooting for something so meaningful and full of emotions,” she continued, adding, “Memories that I shall cherish forever. One day to go. Can’t wait to share with you all.”

She took to Instagram again on the morning of the release, writing, “Morning, everyone! The wait is over, Qarar is finally releasing today. Can’t wait to share it with you all.” She added, “Do share on your profiles.”

The prince of Pakistani pop music, Ali has proven his mettle with numerous hits over the years, ranging from Tum Naraz Ho to Har Zulm. The veteran singer recently wrote and composed his son Khubi Ali’s debut single Udaas

“Sajjad Ali Studios proudly presents the debut single of Khubi Ali. This song is for all the broken-hearted souls who smile their way through life with no complaints.” reads the YouTube description of the song. “Udaas takes you on a beautifully melodic and melancholic journey through the fields of Love. After all, ‘Iss tarah toh hota hai, iss tarah ke kaamon mein,’” the statement read.

Much like his father, the singer has struck the right chords and hit all the notes in this soulful rendition, leaving his listeners spellbound. His singing style is also reminiscent of Ali’s and hits right in the feels the same way too.
