RAWALPINDI:

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cybercrime Wing has arrested a head constable and three others for allegedly harassing and blackmailing a girl.

The suspects used to lure and trap girls by offering them jobs

A 17-year-old girl had lodged a complaint with the FIA Subhan alias Faisal, contacted her on social media and called her to a place near Rawat, where his accomplice, Adnan was also present.

She said that they took her in Zeeshan’s car to Imtiaz Ahmed’s house in Rawalpindi where they molested her.

Meanwhile, a man named Rizwan, who was wearing a police uniform and deployed at Chauntra Police Station, showed up with Imran alias Mani and Yasir.

Rizwan and his accomplices said that they have carried out the raid and demanded Rs0.5 million. Subhan and others gave Rizwan Rs 0.2 million and gave the impression that they would upload the videos on social media if the money was not paid.

Later, Subhan, Rizwan and others kept calling the victim on different numbers and threatened to upload her videos on social media if she did not pay them the money.

After an inquiry, the FIA team carried out raids and arrested the head constable Rizwan Ali, Suhan, Zeeshan Altaf and Imtiaz and registered a case against them.

FIA officials said that the case was being probed from different angles.

The Rawalpindi City Police Officer has suspended head constable Rizwan and charge-sheeted him.
