Rajkummar Rao, Patralekhaa tie the knot after 11 years of dating

Actors sealed the deal in an intimate ceremony featuring close family, friends in Chandigarh on November 15

Rajkumar Rao tied the knot with longtime partner Patralekhaa in an intimate ceremony featuring close family, friends in Chandigarh on November 15, reported NDTV.

The Love Sex aur Dhoka actor took to social media to share the news. He wrote "Finally, after 11 years of love, romance, friendship and fun, I got married to my everything today, my soul mate, my best friend, my family.” He went on to state how there was no greater happiness for him than to be called Patralekhaa’s husband.

In her post, Patralekhaa wrote: "I got married to my everything today. My boyfriend, my partner in crime, my family, my soulmate, my best friend for the last 11 years! There is no greater feeling than to be your wife! Here's to our forever..."

Rao started his Bollywood journey with an outstanding debut performance in Love Sex aur Dhoka. However, the role that really brought him to the forefront as an actor was in 2013’s Kai Po Chi. Since then, the actor has gone on to feature in several critically acclaimed films such as Shahid, Aligarh, Omerta, Newton to name a few. The actor has recently starred in Abhishek Jai’s Hum Do Humaray Do and is due to star in upcoming projects Badhaai Do and Monica, Oh my Darling. Earlier this year, Rao was seen starring alongside Priyanka Chopra in The White Tiger.

Patralekhaa made her Bollywood debut alongside Rao in 2014 film CityLights which was a remake of the BAFTA nominated British film Metro Manila. The actor has since gone on to star in Gali and Nanu Ki Jaanu, Badnaam and Love Games. 

Patralekhaa wrote a beautiful piece on her love story with Rao a few years ago for the Humans of Bombay portal. She described how the passion between her and Rao was magical and how much power it gave their relationship. She also recounted how they would talk to each other about everything from work to love for cinema. She concluded the piece by saying “I saw him through his struggles, never giving up. How could we not fall for each other?"
