Actor Rajkummar Rao and long-time girlfriend Patralekhaa are finally tying the knot this month, according to Hindustan Times. As per Pinkvilla reports, however, they are slated to get married today, November 14.
The couple got engaged on Saturday in an intimate ceremony, that saw everyone dressed in white. A video from the event of the two proposing each other at the Oberoi Sukhvilas Spa Resort, New Chandigarh, has been doing the rounds on social media. It sees Rajkummar bending on one knee to ask Patralekhaa, “Will you marry me?” And before he can put the ring on her, she takes the lead, bending on one knee to asks him instead, “Rajkummar Rao, will you marry me?” and puts a ring on his finger.
Amid cheers from the guests, the two then dance on a romantic number.
Rajkummar kept things simple at the occasion in a white kurta-churidaar paired with a matching jacket and sports shoes. While Patralekhaa styled a white off-shoulder gown with a short train. She complemented it with a snake-pattern diamond necklace.
More pictures of them posing with the guests have are gradually surfacing. Glimpses of the hotel and how it was decked up with white lights for the couple's white-theme engagement are also emerging. Actor Saqib Saleem and filmmaker Farah Khan were spotted at the ceremony too.
Rajkummar and Patralekhaa played a married couple in the film, Citylights. The two then came together for the web show, Bose: Dead/Alive. Rajkummar had once revealed he had seen her during an ad shoot and wanted to marry her one day. During his appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show, he revealed the one thought that came to his mind when he saw her for the first time was, ''Kitni pyaari ladki hai, isse toh shaadi karni chahiye (such a nice girl, I should marry her).”
