Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his family went through an ordeal last month when son Aryan Khan got arrested in a drug case by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
The superstar did not put out an official statement or speak to the press and has been mum about the matter since. But according to India Today, even international media channels want to hear about his side of the story and have offered to pay a fortune to get details. The actor, however, stays persistent on his silence.
Regardless of the lucrative offers for an exclusive tell-all interview on the Aryan Khan pantomime, the actor has denied all media giants and allegedly taken justice matters in his own hands. "Shah Rukh has his own plan about how to get justice for wrongs done to his son. And it is far more complex than just giving press interviews on the subject,” a close friend of the Raees star reportedly told the publication.
Aryan was detained by the NCB for an alleged drug bust on a cruise before the youngster boarded it. He was soon taken into custody and consequently arrested. The 23-year-old was then sent to a 14-day judicial remand. Even though he got his bail, he was not released from the Arthur Jail until October 28.
Shah Rukh’s fans and fellow actors around the globe voiced their support for him during this tough time and there were many theories as to why he was kept in jail for so long. While some thought it was a case of religious discrimination, others reported it had more to do with a kidnapping case.
The Dilwale star, however, stayed completely silent on his son’s confinement. He did not even show up for his birthday tradition of waving his hand to his fans outside his house, Mannat.
However, there is some good news. The publication also revealed that they speculate an official statement in the coming days by the Mohabbatein star on his official social media handle. The actor may thank his fans and supporters who rallied behind him, praying for his son Aryan’s release.
