Vaccinators announce boycott of anti-MR drive

They continued their protest outside the Karachi Press Club on the ninth day

The vaccinators from across the province who are protesting for approval of their demands, announced a boycott of the anti-measles and rubella (MR) vaccination campaign scheduled to start from November 15.

The vaccinators continued their protest outside the Karachi Press Club on the ninth day. Protesting vaccinators said that their colleagues were arrested a day earlier for marching towards the Chief Minister's House for approval of the demands.

"We have announced the boycott of the upcoming anti-measles and rubella campaign starting November 15. The protestors said, they would enter the red zone at 3.00 pm on Monday.

"We will move toward the Sindh Assembly on Monday for approval of our demands," they said and demanded that 336 vaccinators should be reinstated on their posts and their posts should be upgraded.
