PISA 2021 winners: ‘Pyar Ke Sadqay’, Sonya Hussyn bag awards
The second annual Pakistan International Screen Awards (PISA) took place on November 5 in a ceremony marred by controversy over cancelled tickets of several nominees. Key award winners included Sonya Hussyn, who accepted her award overwhelmed and in tears, as well as Feroze Khan, Asim Azhar, and the television series Pyar Ke Sadqay.
The event took place in Dubai, attended by several local celebrities and bashed back home for mismanagement. Last year, PISA was called out by veteran actors who, despite being nominated, were kept in the dark about whether they would even be a part of the show. In a repetition of history, several nominees had their tickets cancelled at the last minute, including music nominees Baluch Twins and LSA-winners Bayaan. However, despite the controversy surrounding the event, the awards were handed out as per schedule. Here is the full list of winners at PISA 2021.
