Bollywood celebrities also glammed up for the festival, enjoying time with friends and families while sharing wholesome photos.
1. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor
The Rockstar actor and Udta Punjab star have been dating for a while. However, Alia made it social media official last night by sharing an intimate picture of the couple celebrating Diwali. She looked gorgeous in a royal blue Sabyasachi lehenga while Ranbir wore a black sherwani with golden embroidery, The couple attended a Kali Puja with their best friend, Ayan Mukherji.
2. The Kapoor sisters
Karishma Kapoor shared a happy picture with her sister, Kareena Kapoor, posing in between celebrations. With bindis and kohl-rimmed eyes, the sister duo looked gorgeous in their ethnic attires. Karishma also shared solo photos with the caption “Spread positivity”.

The Dilwale Dulhania Lejayeinge star took our hearts with a wholesome picture of her family celebrating Diwali. She mentioned in the caption how she missed her baby girl, Nysa Devgan, at the event. Ajay Devgan and Yuv, his son, were twinning in a brown shalwar kurta while Kajol looked stunning in a white, red and gold saree.

Wearing a baby pink embroidered ethnic attire, the Padmavat actor radiated happiness with her candid laughing picture. She took to her Instagram to wish her fans and wrote, “May this year be filled with light, good health and prosperity! Happy Diwali!” Famous for their online romance, Ranveer Singh commented, “Baby baby baby” with hearts to obsess over his wife. How cute!

The dramatic director Karan Johar, recently welcomed two kids to his family. His Instagram has been all about his time with Roohi and Yash lately. He shared beautiful family portraits of everyone in white.

Looking exquisite in a champagne coloured lehenga, the diva celebrated Diwali in Los Angeles, California. She shared pictures with Mindy Kaling and Lilly Singh with the caption, “Love, laughter and a room full of badass desi boss ladies.”
