The accounts manager of a private housing society was robbed of Rs10.1 million by two armed motorcyclists on Soan Bridge in the jurisdiction of Morgah police station.
Police said that Account Manager, Syed Mohsin Ali, was returning to the office with the salaries of the employees after withdrawing cash from a private bank. He withdrew Rs10.1 million from a bank and put the cash in the car’s trunk.
The complainant was with the driver, Muhammad Rafique and another employee named Javed Iqbal. Due to the traffic on Soan Bridge, the vehicle decelerated and two armed motorcyclists made the gate of the driver’s open at gunpoint. The suspects took out the cash bag from the vehicle’s trunk and rode away on the wrong side of the traffic.
The police said they were obtaining the CCTV footage of GT Road. The police also visited the private bank and watched the CCTV footage.
