The Pakistani entertainment industry's who's who walked the red carpet on Sunday for the International Pakistan Prestige Awards (IPPA) 2021 in Istanbul, Turkey. Celebrities from film to television and fashion to music were all gathered at the venue to kick start the glamorous event. While our social media is swamped with pictures and videos of celebrities walking the red carpet, the evening didn't go all smooth.

Models Fatima Hasan and Mushk Kaleem were to host the red carpet together at the star-studded event. However, Fatima, in an Instagram story shared, that she was asked to leave the red carpet because her outfit was ‘too revealing’.

The model wore a black off-shoulder sequin gown with an open slit. She took to Instagram to share what went down at the event. Fatima could be seen tearing up in the video after she was sent back from the red carpet that she was originally hosting.

“Got ready and went to the red carpet and was told that the outfit is too revealing and I can’t shoot and be broadcasted on HUM TV in this,” she wrote on her Instagram story. “No one had asked me or given me any guidelines before this. I had shared my outfits with the production team just as a safety measure and they approved it. Wish I was given proper guidelines beforehand and saved from this humiliation”

Fatima later updated her fans on Instagram that she used a sweater as a make-do shrug and ‘covered herself up’ to look appropriate for the evening. She also shared BTS of how disorganised and behind the schedule the whole event was. The model, who has over 100,000 followers on Instagram, wrote that she had already shared her outfit with the organisers earlier and there were no objections.

The model expressed gratitude for the support she received after many spoke out in her favour and called out the organisers.
