If the LUX Style awards this year were any indication, monochrome outfits, especially of the silk variety, are all the rage these days. From Dur-e-Fishan Saleem’s royal purple silk sari, to Nimra Jacob’s yellow-gold gown, solid colour outfits are the look of the season. While several celebs have been sporting the trend, one particular celebrity has always made monochrome outfits a highlight of her wardrobe. Naimal Khawar Khan is the ultimate poster girl for the solid-coloured outfit, and for good reason!

The former actor always goes above and beyond, impressing with her minimal yet chic fashion choices. Whether it’s her emerald green silk sari or her white gharara outfit on Eid, Naimal is the top celebrity fashionista on our list to look to for inspiration when it comes to all things monochrome! Here’s a compilation of some of our favourite looks from the diva.

Emerald green

Naimal stunned in a gorgeous green silk sari at actor Usman Mukhtar’s wedding. Keeping the makeup minimal, Naimal let her outfit do the talking. The former actor accessorised with a necklace encrusted with green stones, and her red pout and matching manicure added a pop of contrasting colour to the overall look. Naimal kept her neck and ears bare, wearing her hair down and pairing the outfit with a black sequined clutch. We adore the elegance of this look, perfect for the upcoming wedding season!

Bold red

There’s nothing quite like a solid red outfit, with the gorgeous colour bound to turn heads and capture the attention of everyone in the room. Naimal looks gorgeous in a loose-fitting red kameez paired with a matching churidar. We love the addition of the net dupatta, which adds a touch of romance to the look. Naimal kept her hair pin-straight, accessorising with a pair of kohlapuris and a traditional Afghan necklace.

Light pink

Naimal looks like something straight out of a fairytale in this gorgeous light pink pishwas. The colour and cut make this look ideal for all the cottage-core fanatics out there. The embroidered dupatta and natural makeup make for a perfect daytime look. Naimal ditched the jewellery, opting only for a pair of pearl studs that match beautifully with the embroidery on the outfit.

Classic white

Nothing beats a classic all-white outfit. Perfect for any occasion, be it a wedding, Eid or a casual day out with friends, a white kameez-gharara combo is a wardrobe staple! Naimal stunned in an all-white outfit, adding a pop of red with her bangles and traditional mehendi. We love the simplicity and understated elegance of this look!

All-black everything

When it comes to black, it’s near impossible to go wrong. The one colour that you can throw on without thinking twice, all-black is the way to go if you’re looking to look fashionable and glamorous at absolutely any event. Naimal rocks a black pishwas with net sleeves and a matching dupatta. The black on black beading is a great look, with Naimal having accessorised with strappy black heels and a pair of silver drop earrings. The cherry on top is that red pout, pulling the entire look together!
