Police arrest 19 suspects in different raids

11 motorcycle lifters, eight gutka sellers among those arrested

Police conducted raids in different parts of the city and arrested 19 suspects, including 11 motorcycle lifters.

During various operations, anti-vehicle lifting cell nabbed 11 motorcycle thieves and recovered 13 stolen motorcycles from their possession. The two-wheelers were stolen or snatched from Supermarket, Rizvia, Azizabad, Pakistan Bazaar, Orangi Town, Madina Colony and Docks areas. Police said, they are conducting raids on the information of outlaws to arrest their accomplices and recover more vehicles from them. The arrested thieves have been identified as Farrukh, Yaqub, Imran, Hassan Iqbal alias Moin, Imran Baig alias Imran Chacha, Ashraf, Tahir, Farhan, Shakir, Asad Ali and Abdul Jabbar.

Meanwhile, Malir District police arrested eight suspects including Kamran, Kashif, Wasim, Rehman, Haji Bahadur, Adnan, Ahmad Ali and Minhaj from the limits of Shah Latif, Quaidabad, Sukhan and Malir Cantt police stations and recovered a large quantity of homemade gutka from their possession. The arrested suspects were selling gutka in the area despite ban, imposed by the court.
