Watch: Shah Rukh Khan visits son Aryan Khan in jail

In a video that has gone viral on social media, the actor stops several times to humbly greet his fans

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, on Thursday, reached Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai to meet his son Aryan who has been behind bars since October 3 in connection with a drugs case, reported The Indian Express. Aryan, 23, was arrested with seven others when the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) busted a drugs party on board a Goa-bound cruise ship off Mumbai.

In a video that went viral on social media, the celebrated star can be seen making his way under strict security and a plethora of onlookers to the jail to meet his son. On his way back, SRK stops several times to greet his fans and awaiting journalists.

A special court in Mumbai on Wednesday refused to grant bail to Aryan and two others in connection with the seizure of banned drugs. In his bail application, Aryan had stated that he had been “falsely implicated in the present crime”. 

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) stated in its reply that, according to the evidence, Aryan had played a role in the procurement and distribution of illegal drugs. It also stated that Aryan is in touch with individuals who are a part of an international drug network. 

In addition to this, the NCB was quoted as saying, “Police has found a drug-related WhatsApp chats that are allegedly between Aryan Khan and a debut actor.”
