Zahid Ahmed, who started his showbiz career as an RJ, and has now graced the screens in multiple star-studded projects, recently took to Twitter to hope for a Pakistan where more women can be seen on motorbikes without the fear of being harassed or judged.
Sharing a video of two women traveling on their own motorbikes, Ahmed tweeted, “I wish this wasn’t so special that I had to post about it.”
Hoping the casual commute is taken casually and not looked down upon as something preposterous or vulgar, the actor went on to wish for a country where women are free to ride whatever vehicle they wish, as long as they're reaching home safe. Just as they’re free to drive cars, especially since driving or owning a car isn’t always economical.
I wish this wasn’t so special tht I had to post abt it.I wish this becomes normal & women are free to ride bikes just like they drive cars. Specially when not every1 can afford a car.But most of all I wish our women would reach home w/o our men harassing them pic.twitter.com/OTy5k4ITLH

As of late, Prince Charming, Ahmed’s recently released short film with Mahira Khan was well received. Speaking about his choice of plays, he had told Urdu News, "When I am offered a role in a play, I pay attention to the importance of the male character in the story."
In all the plays he has done so far, Ahmed can be seen as a grey character with many layers instead of a black-and-white one. He had also emphasised on the need for “serials based on unique stories and plays based on untold ordeals."
