ISPR says Arifullah got killed during exchange of fire

Security forces killed a wanted terrorist in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement on Thursday.

"Wanted terrorist Arif Ullah alias Dadullah got killed during exchange of fire," the military's media wing added.

On October 11, one terrorist was killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) by security forces in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's North Waziristan district, the had military said.

The IBO was conducted in a hideout on confirmed intelligence of the presence of terrorists in Mir Ali. It said that weapons and ammunition were recovered during the operation while an area clearance operation is in progress.

On October 9, four terrorists were killed by Frontier Corps when the security forces spotted and engaged them near Balochistan's Awaran district.

The terrorists were killed after an intense exchange of fire, and weapons and ammunition were recovered from them.

On September 28, 10 terrorists including four commanders were killed in an IBO carried out by the security forces in South Waziristan district on the reported presence of a militant hideout.

The terrorists remained actively involved in planting IEDs, conducting fire raids and target killing of innocent civilians.

These terrorists were planning to conduct more acts of terrorism inside South Waziristan, it added.
