Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested four suspected car thieves including one in injured condition after alleged encounters at Aziz Bhatti Park and recovered a stolen car and weapons from them.

According to police, a squad of AVLC East police party arrested four suspects, including three in injured condition near Aziz Bhatti Park.

The injured were identified as Altafi Jutt, Dilawar Brohi, and Iqbal Panhwar. The fourth suspect was identified as Akhtar Ali Khapri. Three other accomplices of the suspects managed to escape, the spokesperson said.

Police seized two 30 bore pistols, one Honda City car bearing registration number BCA-684, which was stolen from the limits of Mobina Town on October 6. The suspects used locally made keys to steal the vehicle.

Police said the arrested suspects belong to an inter-provincial gang that stole cars from Karachi and sold them in Khuzdar, Panjgur, and other areas of Balochistan.  According to the suspects, one of their buyers went by the alias of Wajah Panjguri and was notorious for buying stolen cars.
