PID, PAA discuss new advertisement policy

Meeting discusses aspects of new policy covering traditional, non-traditional mediums

The Press Information Department (PID) and the Pakistan Advertising Association (PAA) on Saturday discussed the recently approved Advertisement Policy and its implementation mechanism.

According to a statement, the PID held consultative meeting with the PAA here.

“The participants of the meeting discussed salient features of recently approved Advertisement Policy and its implementation mechanism,” it read.

During the meeting, both sides discussed all the aspects of the new policy that covers all traditional and non-traditional mediums.

The PAA delegation – including newly elected office bearers including Chairman Jamal Mir, Senior Vice Chairman Nouman Nabi, new Islamabad Zone Chairman Usman Attique Butt, Nadeem Akbar and Shabbir Malik – appreciated government’s efforts for uplifting the advertising industry. They extended the PAA’s full support for early implementation of newly approved policy.

Principal Information Officer Sohail Ali Khan reciprocated and emphasised that “new advertisement policy was much awaited and will ensure transparency and conducive environment for media industry.”
