British High Commissioner Christian Turner has said that Chevening scholars in Pakistan have become leaders in both the public and private sectors.

“Our Chevening alumini from Pakistan have become leaders in government, industry & elsewhere. I met inspirational former #Chevening scholars in #Karachi tonight,” he said in a tweet from his official handle on Monday.

In a follow-up tweet, he announced that applications for 2022 Chevening scholarships are open and interested candidates can apply via www.chevening.org/apply.

Chevening Scholarships are awarded to individuals with demonstrable leadership potential who also have strong academic backgrounds.

The scholarship offers full financial support for future leaders to study for an eligible master’s degree at any UK university whilst also giving them access to a wide range of exclusive academic, professional, and cultural experiences.

Since the programme was created in 1983, over 50,000 outstanding professionals globally have had the opportunity to develop in the UK through Chevening.
