One FC soldier martyred, two injured in Balochistan terrorist attack
At least one soldier of Frontier Corps (FC) was martyred and two others sustained injuries when terrorists targeted a security forces’ check post in Mach, Balochistan, military’s media wing said on Sunday.
“Terrorists targeted security forces’ post in Mach, Balochistan. Frontier Corps troops responded promptly,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
During the exchange of fire, Sepoy Irfan embraced shahadat (martyrdom) while two other soldiers were injured, it added.

“Pakistan Army remains committed to defeat such cowardly acts by externally sponsored terrorist elements,” read the communiqué.
The statement added that terrorists will not be allowed to sabotage the hard-earned peace in the country.
Earlier in the day, the security forces killed a terrorist during an operation in North Waziristan, said the ISPR in a statement.
According to the Pakistan Army's media wing, the operation was conducted on a tip-off regarding the presence of terrorists in the area.
The terrorist was gunned down during an exchange of fire, the ISPR said. It added that the security forces also recovered explosives and ammunition during the operation.
