Face attendance in railways to start next month
The ’Face camera’ attendance system of railway officers and employees in Lahore division will be operational from next month.
According to Railway DS Nasir Khalili, efforts were made for increasing the efficiency of the Lahore division.
In this regard, in order to bring more transparency in the attendance system of officers and employees in Lahore Division, the digital attendance system was being introduced.
As a result, the attendance of employees working on railway stations, engine sheds and railway tracks in Lahore division will be marked from next month under the Face camera attendance system.
Employees working in Lahore Division will mark their attendance under this attendance system at the scheduled time before starting office work.
This digital system will bring the complete bio-data of the employees working in any station and city in Lahore division to the Lahore DS office control room and any officer or employee who was absent will also be mentioned in the system.
Meanwhile, those railways officers or employees who were absent will be highlighted in a separate box.
In order to check the attendance of officers or employees working especially on railway tracks, an employee will be called under the Face camera attendance system at any time during duty hours and their attendance will be checked in front of the camera.
Reportedly, this will further improve the speed of work and significantly increase the efficiency of the railways.
Similarly, due to the strategy made by the Lahore DS Lahore, the long standing liabilities of the provincial departments in Lahore division had been collected and deposited in the national treasury.
These departments include the food department, the highways department and the district departments from which Rs50 million will be collected in terms of dues. This will significantly increase the revenue and efficiency of the railways, the DS claimed.
The railways DS further said, “Practical work is being done for the welfare of officers and employees in Lahore division which will yield satisfactory results in future.
