Govt’s meetings won’t resolve issues: Shehbaz
Taking a jibe at the government’s meetings, Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday said such “cosmetic gatherings” would not resolve the issues of inflation and unemployment apparently created by the ruling party.
“Theft, corruption and consistently disastrous policies have destroyed the national economy and put millions out of job,” he was quoted as saying in a statement.
Shehbaz, who is also the PML-N president, said that such issues could only be resolved through concrete steps that the current administration was “incapacitated to take”.

“This government has more than doubled the price of sugar from Rs52 to Rs110 and flour from Rs35 to Rs75. The masses are screaming in agony and anguish over the exponential rise in the price of basic commodities,” he added.
The opposition leader alleged that the people were praying to be rescued from the incumbent government.
“The lack of any economic foresight, strategy, or policy by the PTI-led government has given birth to this inflation and unemployment crisis,” he added.
