Training for 1,400 Covid interns begins

Lahore varsities had sent students to take part in #Lahore GetsVaccinated programme

Under the initiative of Lahore Division commissioner for Covid Vaccination Awareness #LahoreGetsVaccinated, a training session of more than 1,400 internees from different universities of Lahore, has been kicked started at Alhamra on Monday.

Lahore Division Commissioner Captain (retd) Muhammad Usman, Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Punjab Imran Sikander Baloch, DC Lahore Umer Sher Chatha graced the training program and opened the training session.

It was briefed in training sessions that all universities of Lahore had got registered and sent their students for the internship programme for Covid vaccination awareness.

Commissioner Lahore said that after completion of the Covid training session, all internees would send to their nearby areas with their university supervisors and Health officials. He said the total period of the internship program is six weeks and 1st week is of training.

“Today is the historical day for Lahore because we are going to start the biggest awareness programme of Pakistan,” he said.

Baloch said an awareness campaign regarding Covid Vaccination was the need of the hour and he lauded the sentiments of internees.

The Lahore commissioner said the wearing mask was mandatory for both vaccinated and unvaccinated persons. He said all internees would knock on every door for vaccination awareness and collect data for more research analysis.
