Polio campaign starts in Balochistan today

At least 9,470 mobile teams, 949 fixed and 552 transit teams have been deployed in the province

Coordinator Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) Balochistan Hameedullah Nasar announced the start of polio vaccination campaing from Monday in all 34 districts of Balochistan. All preparations have been completed for the five days anti-polio drive in the province.

Government and Emergency Operation Centre Balochistan would commence the anti-polio campaign in the province, in which more than 2.5 million children of up to five years of age would be administered polio drops. These children will also be given vitamin A drops.

“All necessary arrangements have been made regarding the campaign, 11,383 teams would be deployed to vaccinate children under the age of five,” Hameedullah Nasar said.

At least 9,470 mobile teams, 949 fixed and 552 transit teams have been deployed in the province to make sure that all children are administered polio drops.
