As many as 2,444,051 people have so far been vaccinated against Covid-19 in the district.
District Health Officer Dr Ataul Munim said on Sunday that over 1.9 million citizens were injected the first dose while 482,507 were administered the second dose of the vaccine.
He further said that 29,498 health workers were also given the first dose, while 21,197 had received the second dose of the vaccine. He said that a sufficient stock of the coronavirus vaccine was available in the district.
“As of now, 26,385 first doses and 39,577 second doses are in the stock in Faisalabad,” he enunciated. Speaking to the media, he said that 37 vaccination centers and 20 mobile vaccination camps are functional throughout the district.
The vaccination centres have been set up in various areas of the city, including Allied Hospital, District Headquarters Hospital, Government General Hospital Ghulam Mohammedabad, Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology, Government General Hospital Samanabad, Children Hospital, Sports Complex Samanabad, Tehsil Headquarters Hospitals in Jaranwala, Samundri, Tandlianwala, Chak Jhumra, Sports Complex Chak Jhumrah, Sports Complex Jaranwala, RHC Chak 400GB, RHC Chak 153RB, RHC Chak 374GB and Chak 469GB.
The DHO mentioned that the timing of the vaccination centres is from 8am to 8pm except for the Sports Complex Samanabad, which would remain open round the clock.
