Torrential rains in Murree wreaked havoc in Muree, causing landslides, overflow of rivers and canals.
Due to overflowing drains, markets, alleys and highways turned into gushing streams while scores of trees were also swept away.
The rainwater also entered shops and houses, causing damage to household goods and businesses while several under-construction houses also collapsed after landslides hit them.

If the rain continues in the next 24 hours, there is a high risk of more landslides. However, tourists visiting Murree were seen enjoying the pleasant weather.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan army and the Murree Cantonment Board administration have further enhanced the beauty of the tourist spot by installing bright lights and decorations in the area adjacent to Mall Road. The place has become a tourist attraction where people are coming in large numbers to see a new attraction. It has virtually become a tourist attraction site all day long.
