MoHR to create awareness of gender-based issues

ISLAMABAD:

The Ministry of Human Rights has initiated a project of human welfare, aiming to create human rights awareness in target districts.

The project was launched to create awareness among the masses to raise voices for those seeking justice and enable them to protect their fundamental rights.

He added that it focuses on sensitising rural and urban communities for behavioural changes towards certain human rights issues, particularly gender-based violence.

The project also aimed to evolve communication strategy to address major human rights issues such as violence against women, women's inheritance rights, child abuse, transgender, minorities and people with disabilities.
