Four held for making obscene videos

The suspects used to trap children through social media platforms.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad Cybercrime Cell has arrested four suspects for their involvement in trapping children through Facebook and WhatsApp and making obscene videos, harassing and then blackmailing them to bring videos of other children.

The cybercrime cell has also recovered several videos and photos from the suspect’s accounts. According to officials, a boy complaint to the FIA cybercrime about the offense, and​​ after a preliminary inquiry, a raid was carried out in Kot Momin in which Karim Aijaz was arrested.

In another incident, three suspects, including Jaffer Amin, Karim Ijaz, Bilal Adil, and Gulfam Qudoos, were booked by the cybercrime cell for a similar offence. These suspects hail from Islamabad. The cell has registered separate cases against all suspects.

The authorities said that the suspects used their Facebook accounts to trap innocent children into making obscene videos and then blackmail them to trap more children.
