Police hold women safety awareness walk

CCPO advises participants to use women safety application to get immediate help.

Lahore Police as part of its awareness campaign against harassment and violence held the 'Women safety awareness walk’ at Liberty Chowk, Main Boulevard, Gulberg on Saturday.

Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mahmood Dogar advised the participants to adopt the precautionary measures at the earliest and use the women safety application to get immediate police help in case of any harassment or violence against them.

“There is option of location in this women’s safety application and police will response and reach to the victims within no time.”

He added that the Lahore police awareness campaign was aimed at preventing and eliminating all forms of violence against women which had alarmingly intensified in our society over the past few days.

The CCPO further said such initiatives would help sensitise people on women’s safety.
