Larkana police kill 18 suspects during August

Larkana Range Deputy Inspector General of Police Mazhar Nawaz Shaikh on Friday said that 18 suspects were killed, 48 injured and 390 arrested during August 2021.

DIG Shaikh, who took over the charge on June 29, said 306 weapons, 1,920 bullets, 30.7kgs of narcotics and 1,506 bottles of liquor were also confiscated during the last month. Shaikh said that police following court orders arrested 1,665 proclaimed offenders and 1,444 absconders. He said 42 cases emerged during August, out of which nine were reported and 33 un-reported, “however, all of these victims have been recovered.” He said no highway robbery had been reported during this period which proved that Larkana Range police performance was exemplary.

DIG Shaikh said that during on-going operation against robbers in the entire Larkana division, 15 had so far been killed in encounters, 14 injured, 88 arrested and 76 weapons have been recovered from their possession.
