Two security personnel were killed and five wounded in a landmine explosion on Sunday, in Orakzai Agency.

ORAKZAI: Two security personnel were killed and five wounded in a landmine explosion on Sunday, which took place near the Dabori area of Orakzai Agency.

Sources say security forces were on a routine patrol when their vehicle hit the landmine.

After the incident security officials cordoned off the area and began a search operation.

Sources also confirm that six militants were killed in a gun battle with security forces.

Earlier this month, Pakistani artillery killed six militants in an attack on their stronghold following a landmine blast. A soldier on patrol in Orazkai was left wounded by the blast.
