Health ministry gives Rs1.97b for ICT govt hospitals’ staff

The risk allowance has been released for 9,191 clinical workers of 10 govt hospitals.

The health ministry has released a risk allowance for clinical health workers of federal government hospitals in Islamabad.

The ministry has released Rs1.97 billion for 9,191 clinical workers of 10 federal government hospitals in Islamabad.

The sum includes basic salaries of five months which will be transferred to the beneficiaries bank accounts. Prime Minister Imran Khan approved the summary of the long-awaited allowance on August 8.

After the approval, the ministry released Rs70.7 million for 4,680 staffers of Pims, Rs34.385 million to 1,632 staff of Polyclinic Hospital Rs20.45 million for 133 staffers of NIH, around Rs30 million for staffers of the federal general hospital, Rs40.1 million for Sheikh Zayed Hospital Lahore, Rs7.3 million for TB hospital Rawalpindi, Rs20.7 million for Director of Central Health Establishment Islamabad and Rs1.3 million for two staffers of National Health Emergency Rapid Response Network.

The office order stated that the allowance will be transferred to clinical staff who receive salaries directly into their accounts. The allowance for the remaining staffers will be transferred to their bank accounts through DDOs and no cash will be given to a beneficiary.
