KURIANWALA:

A 13-year-old boy who went to a private hospital in Khurrianwala died of electrocution on Friday.

Police registered a case against the hospital administration and started an investigation.

In a case filed by Muhammad Iftikhar, a resident of Chak 544 GB, stated that his son Mudassar Iftikhar, aged 13, went to Al-Habib Hospital in the village from home on a motorcycle on August 26 at 4:30 pm for some work.

When he parked his motorcycle inside the hospital, the hospital staff asked Iftikhar to follow them to the roof of the building. Iftikhar’s hand accidentally touched the bare electric wires attached to the roof. As a result, he fainted due to electric shock.

He was rushed to the hospital after medical treatment. The hospital staff wasted time in keeping my son in their hospital for an hour after he was electrocuted which led to his death. The hospital staff deliberately electrocuted my son to death.

Police registered a case against the hospital administration under provisions 322 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and started searching for them.

Earlier this year in April, three members of a family lost their lives while trying to escape a deadly electric shock on the roof of their house.
