The police claimed on Tuesday to have arrested two militants of the proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan after a raid in Ibrahim Hyderi Area.

According to the police, an intelligence-based operation was carried out and two suspected terrorists, Naimatullah Baba and Pirullah Khan, were arrested. Two hand grenades were confiscated from them, added the cops.

Both suspects hail from South Waziristan and received training from Afghanistan, said the police, adding that Naimatullah’s father and two brothers were also linked with the militant outfit. One of the brother’s, Barkatullah, is imprisoned while another brother, Amanullah Mannu, was killed in an alleged police encounter in 2014.
