Malam Jabba holds two-day grass skiing competition

Locals have applauded the efforts of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Sports Department

A two-day grass skiing competition involving both males and females from all across the country was held at Malam Jabba Ski Resort on Sunday.

Teams from Gilgit-Baltistan Ski Association, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Dir, Swat Falcon’s Eye Club, Swat Winter Sports Club, Chitral, Civil Aviation Authority, Parachinar, and Hazara Adventure Club were part of the Malam Jabba Tournament.

In the female solo ski categories, Aziza Gul stood first, Malam Jabba’s Azra Bibi secured second position and Gilgit-Baltistan Ski Association’s Aman Sohail clinched the third position.

In female joint categories, Amana Sohail attained first position followed by Aziza Gul who came in second and Azra bibi remained third on the points table.

In male solo categories, Gilgit-Baltistan Ski Association’s Fazal Daud secured the first position, Tanzil Ahmed stood second whereas the third spot went to CAA’s Muhammad Saddiq.

In men joint categories, Muhammad Saddiq came out on top of others with the first position to his name, Fazal Wadood came second and Tanzil remained third on the points table.

Locals have applauded the efforts of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Sports Department for arranging such events in different areas of the Malakand division, urging that these practices should be continued.

Huge numbers of spectators also witnessed the sports gala in Swat.
