Is ‘Eternals’ theme music inspired by a ‘Hum Apke Hain Kon’ song?

Indian writer has pointed out similarities between the two and we can’t un-hear them

Ever since Marvel Studios released the trailer for its ensemble superhero film Eternals, many have been talking about it on social media. And while people are excited to watch this visual spectacle, Indian writer Varun Grover has drawn a keen observation about the background score of the upcoming flick.

Tweeting about the same, Varun pointed out how the Eternals theme music seems to be drawing inspiration from the melody of Bollywood hit Hum Aapke Hain Koun…!

Varun wrote on Twitter, “The hook riff from Pehla pehla pyaar hai reworked as the theme music for Marvel’s ETERNALS?”

Pehla Pehla Pyar Hai is from the 90s Hum Aapke Hain Koun starring Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit. The song’s video sees Salman strum on his guitar before dancing to the beat of the track with Madhuri.

Many agreed with Varun’s observation on the micro-blogging site. Replying to the screenwriter’s tweet, one of the users wrote, “YES! I thought the same.” Another commented, “Hats off to your observation Bro! I just re-watched the trailer and I can’t ignore it now.” One of Varun’s followers also mentioned “it’s a stretch” but called it a “good observation”. And, some noticed the similarity only after Varun shared it. “Thanks! Now I can’t un-hear it and the tune is stuck in my head!”
