DIJKOT:

A woman allegedly strangled her husband to death along with her accomplices as the man stopped her from indulging into ‘immoral activities’.

The suspect initially tried to stage the incident as her husband’s suicide.

Police took the body of the deceased into their custody and handed it over to his heirs after postmortem.

The police registered a case against four accused including the victim's wife and started searching for them.

In a case filed by Shabbir Ali Qamar, a resident of Chiniot District, Chak 209 JB, it has been stated that his brother 27-year-old Muhammad Jaber Ali, was married to Firdaus Bibi.

Qamar said, “My sister-in-law Firdous Bibi's character was ‘doubtful’ and my brother Jaber Ali used to stop her indulging into ‘immoral activities’. Out of this resentment, she, along with her accomplices, strangled and killed my brother at the camp of Munir Ahmed Jutt and hanged his body with a fan and concocted a story of suicide.”

A case has been registered against the victim's wife and her three unidentified accomplices under the different provisions of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) including 302 and 334.

Earlier this year in May, a woman allegedly strangled her husband to death with the help of an accomplice in Tandlianwala.

The suspects initially tried to present the murder as a suicide case. Police registered a case against the victim’s wife and her accomplice after the postmortem report proved the murder.

In another incident in May, a woman and her paramour were booked for allegedly poisoning to death her husband in the city.

Reportedly, the woman, who was allegedly caught with her paramour staged a suicide drama to cover up the crime.

Around a year after the postmortem report revealed the fact, Nishatabad police registered a case against the four suspects, including the victim’s wife and her paramour.

Police also arrested the woman and started interrogation. According to the police report, Abdul Majeed, a resident of 7GB, Panjwar Nawaz Town, had taken a stand in the case registered at Nishatabad police station.
