She expressed these views during a seminar on women issues in Quetta Press Club on Thursday. Abdul Khaliq Rind, President of the Press Club, Bahram Baloch, Sana Durrani and others addressed the workshop.

Sheeran added that hostels for working women who get transfers from one city to another are also being established in all divisional headquarters.

“So far the Balochistan government established six daycare centers at college level and we are planning to establish daycare centers at university level also,” she said. “We have established a separate helpline for women where females can and lodge a complaint against any one.”

The parliamentary secretary for women development assured to solve all the issues being faced by women in the province.

Sheeran also paid respect to the deceased Noor Mukkadum who was brutally killed in Islamabad last month.

“There are problems but we have to change our mindset and adopt the things that religion has taught us,” she said, adding that the laws that have been passed and not implemented will be implemented soon. Sheeran maintained that it is the job of the government to formulate a policy that has not been implemented but it is imperative for the media to play its role in this regard as well.
