In a separate incident, robbers loot Rs5 million from bank

Two Afghan nationals escaped from the custody of Golra police.

Police sources said that two ringleaders of an Aghan gang, who were identified as Jala alias Khapal Wak and Bilal alias Tul Wak, escaped from the police custody while they were being taken to a hospital at night.

Sources said that the suspects’ accomplices riding double cabin vehicles intercepted the police party and got them free.

According to the sources, both suspects had been in police custody to murder a case and several cases had also been registered against them in different police stations of Peshawar.

Islamabad Police Inspector-General Qazi Jameelur Rehman has ordered Golra DSP to present a report on the incident after an inquiry.

In another incident, seven armed suspects broke into a private bank in Sabzi Mandi and made away with Rs5million. The robbers also injured the security guard of the bank and held the staff hostage before making away with the looted money. Police have got the closed-circuit television footage of the incident.

Meanwhile, traders at Sabzi Mandi have demanded of the police to arrest the robbers at the earliest. Meanwhile, Saud’s mobile phone was snatched in the precincts of Ramna police station while unidentified robbers snatched cash and cell phone from a citizen, Shah Khalid, in the same police limits.

At least five motorcycles were stolen from precincts of Shehzad Town, I-9, and Sabzi Mandi police stations.

Unidentified robbers stolen cash and other valuables from the house of Farooq in the jurisdiction of Sihala police station. Muggers looted Rs20,000 from Ahmed in the precincts of Kohsar police station.
