Opposition files case against Balochistan CM

The judge had granted the petition of the opposition

ISLAMABAD:

The opposition parties in the Balochistan Assembly filed a case against the Chief Minister of Balochistan Jam Kamal and a police superintendent at the Bijli road police station on Monday.

A delegation comprising of Assembly members Malik Naseer Ahmad Shahwani, Nasrullah Zairay, Abdul Wahid Siddiqui, Ahmad Nawaz Baloch, Mir Zabid Ali Reki, Akhtar Hussain Langau and others visited the Bijli road police station and submitted the verdict of a district and sessions court that ordered to register a first information report against the CM and SP police.

Later, while speaking to the media, Opposition Leader Malik Sikandar Advocate and other members confirmed the aforementioned development and said the opposition presented the decision of the sessions court in the police station on Monday. Earlier, the opposition members of Balochistan Assembly were tortured and injured by the police. Advocate Sikander added that he had approached the sessions court on the nonimplementation of the application.

The sessions court directed the police to register a case against the incumbent chief minister and others on August 7. The judge had granted the petition of the opposition. An additional and sessions judge had directed the police to register a case against the CM Kamal.
